Bec is riding 75km for refugees!
I am riding with my sister in law, Ruth, and friends Tim and Flo, and whoever else would like to join our team. Code Purple is hoping to help raise some funds for the Romero Centre, a fantastic local refugee support center in Dutton Park in Brisbane. The Romero Centre says the following about where money it receives from Rides for Refugees will be spent:
“We would like to support our Women’s cooking project that will
involve a group of Afghani/Iranian women leading cooking classes for
local community members. We would like to cover the costs of their food
handling certificates, equipment, transport to participate regularly and
ingredients. It’s a great project that just needs a little support to
get kick started. Many thanks for your time and consideration.”

Thank you for your support! (and please don’t hesitate to contact me on 0401 755 580 if you have any queries about joining the Code Purple team to support the Ride for Refugees effort).
" Our team, Kirk Riders from Kirkplace church, enjoyed the day riding together - but even more, we wanted to raise awareness & much-needed resources for work with those who've been displaced.".– Kirkplace team captain
