David is riding 50km for refugees!

This is a great opportunity to show support for refugees.

Each year we accept between 13000 and 14000 refugees despite an incredible world wide need. We squabble about asylum seekers who arrive on leaky boats and make our excuses about security and people smugglers. We decrease our acceptance of offshore intake of refugees to balance our overall humanitarian intake and then blame people for not finding a line to join.

We should be embracing those who arrive on our shores and those who are yet to arrive.

This ride gives me a chance to remind myself and those I know the incredible freedoms we enjoy and how much more we should share these gifts with others.
