Do I need to wear a helmet?

Australian law requires that all riders wear helmets. We want the RIDE to be a safe and fun day for everyone, so please make sure you bring and wear your helmet!

What happens if my bike breaks down?

We encourage all riders to ensure that their bikes are in good condition before the RIDE, but RIDE Rangers and sweep vehicles will be located at the Welcome Centre and on the course for the duration of the RIDE in case of mechanical failure.

What happens if I get hurt?

Basic first aid supplies will be available at each drinks station and carried by RIDE Rangers and sweep vehicles.  Trained First Aid officers will be stationed at the Welcome Centre.

No – you may end up staying together for part or all of the RIDE but you are not required to stay with your team for the duration.  Everyone will be at different levels of fitness and ability.

Are there stops along the route?

Yes – drinks stations are situated along the route.  Free snacks and water will be available at the stations. Riders are free to rest and ride at their own pace. Remember, it’s not a race, it’s a RIDE! Public toilets will be marked on the RIDE Route map.
